2017 Book Covers We Loved

As 2017 draws to an end, we at Spine would like to take a look back at some of the more remarkable book covers that we have seen over the last year. There was a great deal of amazing work out there. Though we could probably go on forever about this year's designs, we limited our selection to fifty.

This list is comprised of a selection of covers reviewed by a panel including book cover designers Erin Fitzsimmons and Vyki Hendy, as well as author Kris Waldherr (Doomed Queens, The Book of Goddesses, Bad Princess), and Janet McNally (Girls in the Moon, The Looking Glass), and Spine staff.

Here are book covers we loved that appeared on book shelves in either the U.S. or U.K. in 2017. This list is in no particular order. Creative credits are listed below.

As with any cover design we feature in our publications, we encourage you to head to your local library and/or bookstore to view the work in its full splendor when possible.
