Welcome to 2023 Book Covers We Loved!
One particular design trend I’ve noticed this year is what I like to call “new covers with old vibes.” See Dead Eleven (designed by Alex Robbin); Last Resort (designed by Rodrigo Corral); and Come Closer (designed by Caroline Johnson) for some awesome examples. I may explore this more in an article in the new year but don’t hold me to that :)
This list is comprised of agonising choices made by some of the esteemed Spine panel, including: Freelance Designer Mark Swan; Co-Founder of Chapman & Wilder, Cherie Chapman; and Artworker for Ebury, Penguin and Spine Editor, Vyki Hendy.
As with any cover design we feature in our publications, we encourage you to head to your local library and/or bookstore to view the work in its full splendor when possible.
